Matthew Longcore

Treasurer

Member services manager for the Human Relations Area Files at Yale University. He also teaches anthropology and archaeology as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Connecticut. In addition to serving on the board of Red Fashion College, Matthew is Commodore of the Minuteman Yacht Club in Westport, Connecticut, and President of the Trinity Club of Fairfield County.

Matthew holds master’s degrees from Yale University in Archaeological Studies, Harvard University in Nonprofit Management, and Fairfield University in Education. He received his bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in American Studies, and he studied abroad at Oxford University. His master’s thesis at Yale was titled “Dreaming Spires: The archaeological, cultural, and sociological significance of English Collegiate Gothic architecture on American campuses”.

Matthew is interested in material and visual cultures spanning several disciplines including art and architectural history, the humanities, and the social sciences. He has an appreciation for classic, timeless style and is the founder of the Preppy Handbook Fan Club, a group with over 20,000 members.
